Welcome to the online home of the William Penn High School instrumental music department, located in New Castle, Delaware! Here you can find all information pertaining to the various musical and visual ensembles that WPHS has to offer, including symphonic and concert bands, the Marching Colonials, the jazz ensemble, and the indoor winter guard and percussion ensembles.The instrumental department is under the direction of Mr. Christopher Moore, who is in his first year as the director for the 2011-2012 school year.

The WPHS Music Boosters support both the instrumental and choral department, and is under the leadership of booster president Sarah Dressler.  Every year the boosters do a fantastic job hosting and organizing WPHS sponsored competitions, including the TOB and TIA governed invents at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, DE, the winter guard and percussion show at WPHS.
